Sky Kennel IATA-approved transport crate

Petmate Sky Kennel crates are rigid carriers designed for car travel and, depending on the airline's requirements, for air transport. The IATA designation refers to the International Air Transport Association's recommendations for shipping containers: it helps guide you, but since each airline may have specific requirements, it's advisable to check the exact rules before departure.

Designed for durability, these crates are made with 90% pre-consumer recycled plastic, meaning they are sourced from production offcuts repurposed before consumer use. The robust structure is designed for long-distance transport. 360-degree ventilation promotes excellent airflow, complemented by side vents protected by metal grilles. The door features a secure locking system that engages to prevent accidental opening while remaining easy to operate. Assembly is done using non-corrosive plastic wing nuts. For easy handling, a carrying handle is provided on the top of the 100 (S) and 200 (M) models, and from the 300 model onward, molded side grips facilitate two-person handling.

Each crate comes with two "LIVE ANIMALS" stickers, a double food/water bowl to attach to the door, and identification stickers. The 700 (Giant) model is delivered disassembled.

How to choose the right size
To choose the right size crate, measure the animal from the tip of its nose to the base of its tail while standing, then measure its height from the top of its head to the ground while it is sitting or standing. The crate should allow the animal to stand upright without bending over, turn around, and lie down comfortably. As a general rule, aim for a crate height that is about 10 to 15 cm taller than the measured height.
