Description
These cold-pressed fish and turkey kibble are a new product from Cooka's Cookies, formulated for adult dogs and marketed as Ocean Feast on the packaging. To produce 3 kg of food, over 6 kg of fresh whole fish (sea bream, sea bass, salmon, sardines) and fresh turkey are used, combined with sweet potato, pumpkin, beet pulp, spinach, brewer's yeast, melon, pear, and herbs such as turmeric, rosemary, and oregano. Animal-based ingredients make up 75% of the recipe. The brand emphasizes the use of human-grade raw materials, the absence of grains, wheat, gluten, GMOs, artificial colors and flavors, as well as the absence of by-products and ingredients added solely to lengthen the ingredient list without real nutritional value, and the handmade production.
Rather than being cooked at very high temperatures like many commercial kibbles, these are cold-pressed at approximately 42–47°C. This method limits the effects of overcooking and helps retain more of the nutrients and oils naturally present in the fish and turkey. The resulting kibble is compact, provides plenty of energy in a reasonable volume, and can be served daily as a complete food for adult dogs. The recipe is fortified with vitamins and minerals to meet the 2021 FEDIAF (European Federation of Pet Food Industries) nutritional recommendations for adult dogs.
